Overview
Lymphocyte Separating Solution product is used for in vitro isolation of lymphocytes from peripheral blood. The procedure is based on Boyum’s method of rapid separation of lymphocytes using centrifugation through a Ficoll-Sodium diatrizoate solution. Diluted blood is layered over the Ficoll-Sodium diatrizoate solution and centrifuged at a low speed for a short time. Erythrocytes and granulocytes sediment to the bottom of the tube and the mononuclear cells (lymphocytes) and platelets are collected from the interface between the two phases. Store: 4°C
