Coomassie Gel Stainer is a brilliant blue R-250 based protein stain for the detection of protein bands on polyacrylamide gels. It forms strong but non covalent intensely coloured complexes with proteins, mostly based on a combination of van der Waal’s forces and electrostatic interactions. Coomassie Gel Stainer is highly sensitive and can detect as little as 0.5μg protein per cm3 of the gel. Stainer is supplied at 2X concentration
