Notes
  Application:
For the cultivation and maintenance of fastidious microorganisms, especially Bordetela pertussis, for production of vaccines.

Composition:
Ingredients: gm/lt.
Beef heart infusion from : 500.00
Peptone : 10.00
Yeast extract : 3.50
Sodium chloride : 5.00
Starch soluble : 10.00
Charcoal : 4.00
Agar :18.00

Directions:
1. Add 62.50 gm powder to 1.0 liter of distilled/deionized
water and mix thoroughly.
2. Gently heat and bring to boiling.
3. Autoclave at 15 psi pressure at 121°C for 15 minutes.
4. If desired, add aseptically 10% of sterile defibrinated blood and rehydrated contents of 1 vial of Bordetellla Selective Supplement |66006) to 500 ml of medium.
