For the selective isolation and identification of Salmonella typhi and other enteric bacilli.
Composition:

D- Glucose monohydrate : 5.00
Ferric citrate : 0.40
Brilliant Green : 0.01
Ammonium bismuth citrate : 3.00
Sodium sulfite : 10.00
Disodium hydrogen orthophosphate : 5.00
Beef extract (ex.buffalo) : 6.00
Directions :
1. Add 63.40 gm powder to distilled/deionized water.
2. Bring volume to 1.0 litre and mix thoroughly.
3. Gently heat and bring to boiling.
4. Do not Autoclave or Overheat the medium.
5. Swirl the flask while dispensing into sterile petri plates. | |
