  Applications:
For the detection of faecal coliforms in foods, treated wastewater and seawater by Most Probable Number (MPN) Method.
Composition:
Ingredients : gm/lt.
Pancreatic digest of casein : 20.00
Sodium chloride : 5.00
Lactose : 5.00
Salicin : 0.50
Triton X-100 : 1.00 ml
Directions:
1. Add 31.50 gm powder to 1.0 litre distilled/deionized water and mix thoroughly.
2. Gently heat and bring to boiling.
3. Dispense into test tubes containing inverted Durham’s tubes.
4. Autoclave at 15 psi pressure at 121°C for 10 minutes.
